Heart of Hearts Olive Wood Cheese Tray

Handcrafted from sustainably harvested olive wood, this beautiful heart-shaped tray features a cutout heart that doubles as embellishment and for hanging the tray when not in use.

The simple shape of the tray, hand-carved by Kamba people living in the bush of Eastern Kenya, allows for the the dramatic grain of the olive wood tree to shine through.

Sold singly. Because this is a handcrafted item, each will vary slightly.

Care instructions: Hand wash in warm soapy water, rinse and dry. Rub wood lightly with mineral or olive oil before storing.

We work with representatives with Kamba artists to obtain these hand-carved works of beauty derived from the olive wood tree. The artisans benefit greatly from the sale of their works, wtih marked improvements being seen both for the individual and the community.
