Jacaranda Safari Animal Ornament Set of 6

These sweet sets of wooden ornaments are carved from jacaranda wood by artisans in a co-op in Western Kenya. Each animal is hand-carved and then hand-painted.

Sold in a set of 6; 2 Elephants, 2 Zebras, 2 Giraffes. Each ornament is unique, and due to the handmade nature of this item, some variation is expected.

About the Artisans:

We work with a co-op in Kenya, the Gikomba Wood Carving Cooperative, a group of woodcarvers of all ages who work in an open-air workshop in Nairobi. This environmentally-responsible group takes care to legally procure all types of African wood used in their products, and they are skilled at using all parts of the tree in their artwork.
